Featured Music #17-Ocarina of Time: Hyrule Field

Title says everything. This is the Hyrule field theme from Ocarina of Time. I think that this is pretty good, but not as good as the Twilight Princess version. But yeah. Honestly, it doesn’t sounds not that bad for a marching band field show. I’m in marching band, so I know what I’m talking about. It would be cool if we did something like a Zelda show.

In The Legend of Zelda, items of all shapes and sizes appear that our hero Link totes around with him all day in order to defeat those baddies that threaten the peace of the land. I’m starting a Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages Let’s Play. I won’t be able to update it all the time, but you can view it on our Youtube Channel and see how much fail I go through the entire game! It’s been about two or so years since I last played the game, so I’m pretty sure I’m going to be lost.

You can check on the opening title for our Let’s Play after the jump!

WiiU Power Problem

Posted by: ArabDiSASTER

Posted in: Posted in Uncategorized

A few days a go I read an aricle on Kotaku.com that brought some very important points to light about Nintendo’s new console, the WiiU that I would like to discuss. The article brought up the fact that the WiiU looks great, which it does, it is a very beautiful piece of machinery that is capable of outrunning any PS3 or Xbox360, graphically and memory-wise. Yes, this is all fine and dandy, but the only problem is that we are comparing a console made with 2012 tech, to a console that has 7 year old tech. This creates issues surrounding comparisons between consoles, saying maybe we shouldn’t compare the WiiU with the PS3 or 360, because it’s obviously going to be better, after all, it’s next gen. But now since it’s next gen, we have to think about Microsoft and Sony’s next gen consoles. No, they haven’t been announced yet, but rumors have surfaced and supposed “leaked” information that points to it. Now those next-gen consoles won’t be around until nearly 2014, and this leaves an issue with the WiiU, the fact that it will have the exact same problem as the Wii did, It just can’t compare on a same-gen scale to its rivals. So the WiiU will be lacking in power in the future, even if it beats its competitors now…

Since the WiiU has a 2012 release date window, and Microsoft/Sony’s new consoles won’t arrive for two years, that gives the WiiU a fighting chance to become the worlds next “Highest selling console”, just like the Wii was… I know I definitely will be getting a WiiU, although the graphics look phenomenal, the reason I am getting it (the reason I get any Nintendo console) is because of those beloved game franchises such a Zelda, that Nintendo does so well that it keeps me wanting more over all these years.

So tell me, what do YOU guys think about the WiiU? Do you think it can trump Microsoft and Sony? Do you buy Nintendo consoles for the graphics, or the Games? Tell me in the comments below…

Our newest Featured Fan Art is called “Skyward Sword: Final Showdown” by ruina. It depicts Demise and Link fighting one another. It’s an interesting piece of work. I like the detail they made on Demise and I bet it was a pain in the butt to put all the scales on Demise. It has interesting colors and I find it visually pleasing. Be sure to favorite it!

G4′s Top 100, Includes Many Nintendo Titles

Posted in: Posted in Uncategorized

A Television show aired on G4TV a few days ago, one that I actually watched, well, I watched number 1, and number 2, I missed the other 98 games… But I was happy to hear that The Legend of Zelda: A Link to The Past made “#2 Video Game of All Time”. That verdict made me very happy, considering that Lttp is the game I am doing a Let’s Play about over on Zelda-Sanctuary’s YouTube page… So I am glad I made the right choice!
Many other familiar games appeared on the list, but in the interest of it being “Too Long Didn’t Read” Material, I will include only the last 15…

Sony tries to explain why PSP Vita is better than the Wii U

Posted by: NintenStar
Posted on: June 19th, 2012
Posted in: Posted in Nintendo Wii U, Uncategorized

The Wii U gamepad and the PSP Vita are both touchscreen devices. The vice-president of Sony Worldwide Studios, Scott Rodhe, says that the PSP Vita is better. (Well it is the vice-president of the company that developed the PSP Vita. So it was completley biased). He’s basing it on the fact that the “Wii U tablet doesn’t have a processor in it.” Unlike the Wii U tablet, the PSP Vita and the 3DS are handheld gaming devices. Like the PSP Vita, the 3DS has it’s own processor; also like the PSP Vita, the 3DS can connect to a console. I believe that Nintendo has already confirmed that the Wii U will be no more than about $300 (USD). The PSP Vita was about $500 (also USD) when it first came out. Then there’s the additional memory. I don’t remember exactly how much it is to get more memory storage for the PSP Vita, but it’s a lot.

“That Wii U tablet doesn’t have a processor in it, so it’s got to be fueled by that box sitting under your TV.”

“We can do some pretty special things that you’ll start to see on the [E3] floor this year and you’ll see more over the upcoming months about what you can do when you actually have a processor in the thing that’s in your hand as well.”

“It’s only been three months though, just three months. There are a lot of games on that machine and I think what we have to hang our hat on… Every single person that actually picks that thing up absolutely loves it.”

Legend of Zelda Fan-Made Box Set

Posted by: ArabDiSASTER

Earlier today on Kotaku.com, a post appeared that I found surprising, and made me very exited (for a short time)… A box set for the 25th anniversary of Zelda is what this dedicated fan made, and it made me nerd out for a brief moment, wishing that this could maybe, just maybe, become a reality. The box set is made beautifully out of wood, and has a triforce insignia on the front, giving this box set the feel of opening a zelda treasure chest, and wouldn’t it be great if the signature chest opening sound played? Ah, the daydreaming… Yes, I’ll admit that I am disappointed that it’s fan-made, for now I could only dream of owning this. I would also say to Nintnedo the Title of the Kotaku article: “Nintendo, PLEASE, Make This Zelda Box Set a Reality“.

Below you will find more pictures of this beautiful box set.
